Running with the Ancestors pony combines contemporary art with that of Stone Age artists.

Carole Adamac, the creator of this pony, says she believes she is linked to Paleolithic artists. "They are my ancestors of creativity and self-expression." The pony is a combination of several shades of browns and yellows - like the color of the earth.

Running with the Ancestors was introduced Summer 2005 by Trail of Painted Ponies. It was retired January 2009. The last Running with the Ancestors manufactured was #4E/1816. That means 41,816 were made.
