Give Me Wings - inspired by 9/11

This painted pony was introduced  Summer 2003 and was RETIRED 7-05. The last Give Me Wings figurine made was #3E/7462 - that means that 37,462 ponies were produced.

Give Me Wings painted pony was inspired by September 11. The poem the artist wrote says "I will not forget those who sacrificed on the altar of freedom. Precious freedom, give me wings to soar beyond my dreams and touch the stars."

As a child of the Southwest, the artist was raised on the San Carlos Apache Reservation and Pine Ridge Sioux Reservation, where her father trained Indian police forces.
