Personalization
Sequential: A Sequine is a classy looking horse that was part of the Trail of Painted Ponies, 2nd collection, introduced in Summer 2003. Sequential was retired in September 2004 with the last horse numbered #2E/080. That means 20,080 of these pretty ponies were made.
The artist, Nancy, has a Fine Arts Degree from the Kansas City Art Institute, is known as a collage artist who artfully incorporates found objects into her artwork, usually in some sort of repeating pattern. "I can't throw out junk mail without first removing the cancelled stamps," she says, by way of explaining how she came to cover her horse with 77,000 iridescent and multi-colored sequins.
With the name Sequential, this painted pony tells us there was a lot of hard work incorporated in its creation.
