This pony is the base of a miniature mural that captures the aurora borealis, a time when the sky is covered in greenish lights. This phenomenon usually occurs near the north and south poles, as represented on the smooth ceramic surface of this pony. The tail is painted with a rare white wolf, a bird, and the tail of the killer whale. Other wild life represented on the body of this pony, beneath this spectacular night sky, includes the walrus, seal, otter, ram, bull, moose and the strong dominant presence of the polar bear. This pony tells a great story from our Arctic State. The artist spent 4 years creating horses from wood for the Riverfront Carousel in Salem, Oregon. Height 6-3/4" RETIRED JULY 2009
