Personalization
Gingerbread Pony looks good enough to eat! Baking and more importantly eating gingerbread cookies, as well as building gingerbread houses, is such a fun holiday tradition. All of the adorable designs on the textured cookie coat of this pony are white outlines, meant to represent yummy vanilla icing or cream cheese frosting, depending on which you prefer.
In the large photo you can see a bell on the neck and a gingerbread man holding a rein to a horse on the right side of the pony's body. Just above the tail is a star and on both hind quarters is a Christmas tree.
On the left side of the pony is a gingerbread house with two red and white candy canes that frame the front door. A star is on one side of the house, and a gingerbread man is on the other.
The artist, Lynn Bean, remembers her Mother rolling out the dough while her sister and her cut the dough to make cookies that looked like stars, bells, men, and animals. Lynn designed a Pony of frosted cookies and candies. The edge of the platform is colored like candy canes.
Gingerbread Pony ws introduced Holiday 2007 by Trail of Painted Ponies. It was retired February 2010. The last Gingerbread Pony manufactured was #3E/089. That means there were 30,089 ponies made.
