Personalization
"Boot Camp" is an incredibly detailed black pony with slightly upraised painted cowboy boots all over the coat of the body and head. It pays tribute to our Western cowboys.
Each side of her body has a different assortment of fancy boots. On the left side there is a purple and green boot, a red and orange boot, a traditional leather looking boot with a sheriff's star, a green and yellow boot with a funky design, and a blue and yellow boot with three white feathers decorating the side.
On the back where the saddle would usually be placed, the artist pays tribute to the American flag with blue, white and red. On the right side the boots continue to surprise, with a night sky, pink and red hearts, and a Ace of Spades boot on the front lifted up leg. The brown base is edged in "rope" and a black traditional cowboy hat sits under the pony.
The name of the horse, done in the same rope edging, is written on the base. The artist is Maria Ryan who specializes in Idaho wildlife. She is active as a conservationist.
Boot Camp was introduced in Summer 2007 by Trail of Painted Ponies. It was retired July 2009. The last Boot Camp figurine was #3E/000. That means 30,000 of these ponies were manufactured.
