This sculpture is a rendering of one of the four "Horsemen of the Apocalypse", a term used to describe a concept from the New Testament of the Christian Bible, in chapter six of the Book of Revelation. The four horsemen are often referred to as Conquest, War, Famine, and Death. They are part of an apocalyptic vision in which God summons and empowers them to wreak Divine havoc on the world. This chilling sculpture represents War in frightening detail. Mounted on his sinister black steed, this horseman, with a horned helm upon his bestial head, dual wields his axe and sword high above his head, ready for battle. His hand painted plated armor and boots are blood red and devilishly decorated with steel links and designs. The steed below him has armor that matches his, braided mane and tail and stomps upon the bones of the defeated. See below links to the other three horsemen if you wish to complete a collection. Made from cold cast resin. Dimensions: 9"H.
