This sculpture is a rendering of one of the four "Horsemen of the Apocalypse", a term used to describe a concept from the New Testament of the Christian Bible, in chapter six of the Book of Revelation. The four horsemen are often referred to as Conquest, War, Famine, and Death. They are part of an apocalyptic vision in which God summons and empowers them to wreak Divine havoc on the world. This chilling sculpture represents Famine in frightening detail. Mounted on his sinister black steed, this skull faced horseman holds the scales of justice high in his left hand. See below links to the other three horsemen if you wish to complete a collection. Made from cold cast resin. Dimensions: 9"H.
