This rider holds tight to the reins on both sides of the horse's head on this wonderful sculpture. The rider's feet are in the stirrups as he lifts himself up off the saddle. The rider wears a helmet for protection, in that such a sport can be exciting but dangerous.

This rider appears to be in complete and calm control, as the strong radiant horse leaps through the air, all four hooves off the ground, tail flying behind.
